I Sapori del Monastero – Monastery of Santa Chiara

At the Monastery of Santa Chiara in Potenza, the community of Poor Clare nuns combines a life of prayer with the handmade production of biscuits, liqueurs and natural jams typical of Lucania, under the name I Sapori del Monastero (“Flavours of the Monastery”).

• Chocolate-coated “Frate Jacopa” mostaccioli
• Monachine, claretti and walnut treats

Jams and marmalades

• Extra jams of cherries, strawberries, sour cherries and apricots
• Orange, lemon and mandarin marmalades
• Quince paste

This is an enclosed monastery and cannot be visited: the products are sold in the monastery’s online shop, which also shows when orders can be placed.
