About this place

The former Franciscan convent of Colobraro, with the church of Sant’Antonio da Padova, has been restored and turned into a small museum dedicated to the traditions, magic and superstitions of the town.

What to see

• The church of Sant’Antonio, renovated, with a very precious antique organ.
• The cloister of the convent, of rare beauty.
• The themed rooms set up by the Comune (town council): the room of magic, the room of healing herbs and the room of amulets, which tell the rituals of the Night of San Giovanni and popular beliefs.

How to visit

The convent hosts “Le notti della magia” and other events, including openings on the first Sunday of the month. Guided tours of the historic centre are available throughout the year: for information, there is an info point in the Palazzo delle Esposizioni.

Useful information

• Sant’Antonio is celebrated on 13 June.
• In summer, on Tuesdays and Fridays in August, the town stages “Sogno di una notte a quel paese”, a walking performance that starts at the Municipio (town hall) and climbs up to the castle.
