Corleto Perticara

Corleto Perticara stands at about 760 metres in the central-eastern part of the province of Potenza, on a ridge between the Agri and Sauro valleys. It is a mountain town surrounded by woods, in the area also home to the Tempa Rossa oil field.

Don’t miss the 17th-century mother church of Santa Maria Assunta, above the wide steps of Via Gorizia, with reliefs by Sebastiano Paradiso on its façade. The town is linked to the Lacava family, after whom the municipal library is named, and also has a library devoted to Lucanian books.
