San Chirico Raparo

At the foot of Monte Raparo

Discover San Chirico Raparo

San Chirico Raparo stands at about 780 metres at the foot of Monte Raparo, between the Agri and Serrapotamo valleys. One theory links its origins to the ancient city of Polisandra.

The parish church of Saints Peter and Paul holds a 14th-century wooden crucifix from the abbey of Sant’Angelo on Monte Raparo and a polyptych attributed to Simone da Firenze; Palazzo Barletta keeps period tapestries and furniture. In mid-July the feast of the patron saint San Chirico lasts four days.
