Discover Savoia di Lucania

Savoia di Lucania, called Salvia until 1879, stands at about 720 metres in the Melandro area, between Picerno, Tito and Satriano. Its old name may recall the willows, or the sage that still grows nearby.

In the village you can visit the medieval castle, the mother church of San Nicola, the church of the Madonna del Latte and the baronial houses; nearby are the Tuorno waterfalls. In May there’s the procession of San Rocco, and at Pentecost the feast of the Madonna del Latte.
