A Pollino village between Caramola and the Serrapotamo

Discover Teana

Teana stands at about 800 metres in the Pollino National Park, between Monte Caramola and Monte Volturino, near the Serrapotamo stream. Its origins are lost in antiquity, and a legend links it to settlers from Magna Graecia.

In the village you can see the ruins of the Lombard castle, the church of the Madonna del Carmine and the chapels of San Cristofaro and Santa Maria delle Grazie. Teana is part of the Mischiglio Way, with Calvera, Fardella and Chiaromonte.
