Discover Dolomiti Lucane
The Lucanian Dolomites are a group of sandstone spires rising above the Basento valley, in the Gallipoli Cognato and Lucanian Little Dolomites Park. Set among the rocks are Castelmezzano and Pietrapertosa, two of Italy’s most beautiful villages, linked by the Flight of the Angel zip line and the Seven Stones Path; there are also via ferratas and a Nepalese bridge.
Around them are the villages of the upper Basento: Campomaggiore with the ruins of the town abandoned after the 1885 landslide, Albano di Lucania and Trivigno, Brindisi Montagna with its castle and the Grancia park, Anzi with its planetarium and observatory, Abriola with the Sellata ski area, Calvello with its ceramics and Laurenzana with its clifftop castle and fir forest.
It is the right area for adrenaline, trails and mountain villages, from April to October and in winter on the snow.
